Meet Sam
Hi, my name is Sam Untrecht. I recently graduated from the University of California Berkeley after playing 5 seasons with the Bears. I have been playing water polo for over 14 years. I started playing at the Stanford Water Polo Club and I have played on many USA National Teams internationally. I am excited to share my experience, knowledge, and any advice with you.
Favorite thing about Coaching
My favorite thing about coaching is connecting with the next generation of water polo talent. I love to see how kids progress their physical skills and mental focus. I know how difficult the journey can be for a young water polo player, and I am excited to share how I was able to succeed, so you can too.
Specialties
My favorite water polo memory was winning our 3rd National Championship in a row this past December. It was a moment that made me appreciate all my years of hard work and dedication to the sport. Sometimes the swim sets, leg drills, and time commitments felt too much for me, but that moment made me realize that hard work does pay off.
